4 Ginger-Heavy Recipes That'll Clear Out Your Sinuses

To make life a little easier, we rounded up a few of our favorite ginger recipes that will clear out those sinuses, while also helping you keep your healthy goals on track in the New Year. 

 

1. Spinach and Ginger Smoothie Bowl

INGREDIENTS

 

2. Honey Ginger and Tofu Veggie Stir-Fry

 

INGREDIENTS

For the stir fry

  • 1½ cup uncooked brown rice or farro
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 14 ounces extra firm tofu
  • 2 cups chopped asparagus
  • 2 cups shredded carrots
  • 3 green onions, minced

For the garlic ginger stir fry sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons honey (more to taste)
  • ½ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup rice wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup canola oil

 

3. Roasted Carrot Ginger Soup

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 lb carrots, peeled
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 5½ cups vegetable broth, divided
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1½ cup heavy cream (or fat-free half and half, for a lighter version)
  • Fresh mint for garnish

 

 

4. Toasted Sesame Ginger Salmon

 

  INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 pounds raw salmon
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoon soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, grated
1 tablespoons freshly grated ginger
1-2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
4 green onions, sliced

 

  GINGER HONEY GLAZE
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1/2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
